A warm, steady place to begin.
Audrey welcomes visitors who are taking the time to learn more about her and Healing Ray Counseling LLC. Finding the right therapist matters, and this page is intended to help people decide whether Audrey may be a good fit for their therapeutic journey.
A quick look at Audrey's background.
Here are a few details that may help you understand Audrey's training, current role, and areas of counseling support before you reach out.
A calm room for honest conversation.
Audrey's office is arranged to feel warm, grounded, and easy to settle into. The setting matters because counseling can ask people to talk about things that feel tender, confusing, or hard to name.
For trauma and EMDR work, Audrey keeps the pace collaborative. People do not need to arrive ready to explain everything in detail before support can begin.
A genuine relationship is where the work begins.
Audrey's primary goal is to form a warm and genuine relationship with her clients. Trust and safety create a supportive foundation for reflection, growth, and conversations about topics that may feel difficult.
Therapy does not have to feel heavy every moment. There can also be room for lighter conversations, humor, joy, and authentic connection, because those experiences can be meaningful parts of healing too.
Understanding what a pattern has been trying to do.
Audrey does not view symptoms as inherently bad. They often began as responses intended to create safety or connection, even if they have continued long after the original danger or situation has passed.
Look beneath the symptom
Counseling can explore where a response began, what purpose it once served, and why it may now be causing pain or making life harder.
Support both roots and the present moment
The work may address the experiences underneath a pattern while also building practical tools that can offer relief and support in daily life.
Training grounded in clinical mental health and trauma counseling.
During her graduate internship at On Purpose Psyche, Audrey provided individual and group counseling for clients experiencing trauma, including childhood abuse and psychologically abusive relationships, as well as obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and depression.
Seeing how often unprocessed trauma contributed to clients' distress led Audrey to pursue EMDR basic training through the Personal Transformation Institute, an EMDRIA-approved training provider.
